    I wasn't familiar with this brand(celio*). However I think that, above all, I used a typographic element (not a reference to a brand) that is framed in a very different context(color, just the actual element, not fliptop*).
    In my case, the asterisk is in fact fulfilling its function to mark the existence of more information, not merely as an aesthetic symbol.

    Nevertheless, I think it is completely legitimate of you to make this reference.

    In #281 I use cyrillic Ф that means F!
    Suggestion: #251 is well known brand - http://www.celio.com/

    Now that we're nearing the competition end, I will get more aggressive about eliminating design and giving feedback. I really like the burst of creativity I've seen since my post a day ago - thank you everyone. Right now, I think that boavida and kinoy have the leading designs (simple, creative, suggestive). Mercury has the design that made me smile the most (the talking guy in the chat bubble), but it's too tough to make out at 16x16. I think if you come up with other creative approaches, as I described in my last post and keep with the simple design of boavida or kinoy, you'll have the best chance of taking the lead.

    As the deadline approaches, would it be possible for the CH to post more input or guidance. It seems as if the decision has been made without more feedback.

    I'd like to see some more original submissions instead of tweaks on the arrow theme. Exclamation points, alert bells, inboxes, asterisks (like you get for notifications on iPhone/Blackberry. If we go with the arrow theme, then Kinoy's #5/#68 will be the winner. Looking for a new idea that grabs me.
