Cigar review blog needs a logo. HavanaBananas is a spin off from the more serious company BlueHavanaCigars.com and needs a new logo that is fun and reflects the owners sense of humor.

In our initial brainstorming we came up with the concept of a sock monkey, wearing a hawaiian shirt, smoking a cigar. We are sure you can do better or make our thoughts a reality.
Design will be used for web, print, and t-shirt designs so keep colors crisp (no gradients). Owner likes his other logo at: http://bluehavanacigars.com/images/smallLogo.jpg
(hint hint)Required elements: Cigar, Havana Bananas (lettering), Oval or irregular shape preferred. .com is not required in the lettering.
Art should be vector based or large enough to print at 8x8 inches. Please preserve all important layers, we may wish to use different color backgrounds, or none at all.
Logo should look good small or large. Type and shapes should be distinguishable when image is reduced to 250pixels.
Colors: the top banana likes blue, white, yellows, but don't let that hold back your creativity. Your design may influence the website colors. We will be reusing the cuba images at bluehavanacigars.com (top of pages) so if you want to pull tones from there that would be just swell.
If you go the monkey smoking route we lean more toward cartoon and sock monkeys rather than planet of the apes portraits. IF you modify a stock art monkey please review the stock art copyright, terms, and conditions and NOTIFY US.
If you have any questions feel free to PM us. No Atlanta sports celebrities should be indicted as a result of this contest. We reserve the right to end the contest early if someone WOWs us.
