ok, I recessed the 5 into the star and took the 4 little stars out of the text and put them below the main one. YAY! back tomorrow.

Regarding design #2
That's a step in the right direction. The stars inside the letters are cute and show some good creativity. Not sure it's the right look for me, but kinda cool.
But I need some teal and the 5 just plain laid on top of the 5 does not do it for me.
I think a single stylized Star - with a 5 in it, intertwined with it, overlapping it, on top of, next to, swooshing off of it - or something. Just some type of striking creative interaction between the 5 and the star.

You can pop out the 5 and have that as the symbol (although it is much like the one you already have). Still just playing with ideas, but please let me know if I'm on the right track. I appreciate the quick feedback on entry 1.

Regarding design #1
Thanks lancerfour. So sorry, forgot to mention the 5 Star part needs to be able to stand alone as a recognizable mark so I can use as an avatar or button.

Here's another 5 Star graphic I made, that I kinda like but I'm not an artist and again want something more WOW.
