for the contest Employment Agency Site Design
Submitted design #29
Went for something a little different here.
Regarding design #29
Hi Liam,
Thanks for your efforts on this. There are some elements I really like. I like how the job search box goes into the box next it. Very slick.
The nav is different to what we have been asking for, but it is clear and concise and easy to understand.
The winning design would have to have the faces worked into it somehow.
Also, we really want to see the front page designed, how it's going to be. We have all the content required. I'm hoping your design will accomodate, the required content.
Also, do you intend adding tiled backgrounds or anything for large screen resolutions?
Thanks,
Cosmic... :)
Regarding design #35
Hi Liam,
Thanks for your updates. But i really only want to take designs as they would be. We don't need news or other things. Just, the intro text, job search, with the faces built in somehow.
BTW, the faces look good how you have them. But we need to get rid of the latin and all the bits we won't use. The other boxes could be used nicely within the site, but aren't needed for the front page.
Also, I only want to take designs to the client that have attempted something with the background. Don't really want fixed width sites sitting in the middle of the page with no interesting background on large screen resolutions.
Hope that all makes sense.

Regarding design #38
Hi Liam,
The client has liked your design and if you can come up with the below changes then you will be the winner:
- The large Postit Note @ the top left needs to get the text - Welcome to, with the text from the bottom right. (About 2be)
- Job Search Box - The client wanted the job search box and it's text to be smaller. But as the post-it on the left may have to grow to include all of the about text then it all depends on how it will look then. If can;t make it smaller, perhaps less bold.
- Smiley face, its silver box and it's text removed. Not necessary.
- Faces box in bottom left. Extended up closer to the post it note above.
- Text box on bottom right. Half size of the box and make it a news item
with read more. Remove frame and color background.
- Underneath news box add contact details. This goes under the news box which is now hlaf the size of the box that was originally there.
- Top right of site in white space next to logo. Create banner
type heading. What we are going to do is create a flash scrolling bar which has the faces in it. What we require you to do is incorporate how it will look (no flash) and then we will get it animated later. The client liked the faces from http://www.sitepoint.com/marketplace/contestentrant/2758/156381#entry165368 But use just one lines of faces and integrate it in nicely with the logo. Please use the question marks. The client client liked that. Please drop me a line if you have any further questions on this.
- Also the client didn't like the pattern in the background. after you do the other changes could you please try and couple of different backgrounds for them to look at. Even a plain gradient just in case.
Please let me know if you have any questions on these final requests.
Thanks,
Cosmic... :)
