Pro Design.
I totally agree with you and I just don't like doing it, but...
1) Did you read my comment about the lack of feedback? As I just don't know what's wrong (type, effects...) I posted as many options as possible.
2) Did you see my Design comments? They're not all the same... There are subtle differences between themYou can relax now... I'm done. Good luck!

Dear CH, I guess what Mercury Waters is saying is that: I've uploaded #45 and #46 and you rated 4 stars (thx for that!). Then I came up with #51, that in my opinion is perfect — Sorry, but is my opinion — and you rated it 3 stars indicating that you didn't like it so much. I'm Ok with that, but with no proper information, you've left me in a field of assumptions. With this in mind, I can only guess what's wrong with #51 and I "guess" it's the type, so now I present you #94 and I hope you like it.
Thx again for the ratings. -

the point i'm trying to get across is that we NEED you to respond to what we put up and say "keep this, lose that, change this." that's all.

To Mercury Waters and all contestsants,
No, you don't have to throw out ideas till they stick. I redid the brief - read it and just follow instructions.
The end result of our logo should be distinct, memorable and polished (not just some random clip art thrown together with some text). In the brief, I mentioned a few companies whose logos I like - try to adapt those logos to this contest and there WILL be a winner.
Thank you!

Dear Mercury Waters,
Thank you for your input. I am not a graphic artist therefore I cannot design a logo or concept.
However, I do know that this logo must be eye catching and distinct as it will appear on our website, packaging, advertisements, etc. The actual direction of the logo is for the graphic artist to think up of and do.
Currently, the designs I am getting are okay, but some seem as if they are just don't have a concept or a cohesiveness that gives it a memorable look. Look at the logos of White Castle, pizza hut or Burger King, for example. The designer of those logos obviously put thought into the product, name, etc. and made a successful logo out of it.
With the Sushi Express logo, why not play around with the theme of 2 crossed chopsticks making the letter 'x' in the word 'express'? Or have one chopstick forming part of the the letter 'x' (the bottom word) as well as the 'i' on top of it.
Perhaps have a piece of sushi making a dot for the letter 'i' in 'sushi'. Or use the sushi to fill in the circle within the letters 'p' or 'r'. Basically, try to incorporate the product within the actual words. These are just some examples of some ways how you can make the logo memorable and creative.
Being that sushi is an Asian product why not use some fonts (curvy, wavy, oriental - but not to the point where it becomes hard to read)and colors associated with Asia such as red, yellow, white, etc? Maybe even use actual Japanese fonts faded in the background? Hey... its up to you!
Please, feel free to experiment and I do hope you come up with the winning logo. Thank you again for you input.
