This logo is to be designed for an upcoming music and contest related social networking and communitainment website called T&R. Therefore we would like the logo to integrate a human and musical aspect to it.

    Let me get this straigth, you want someting like a AOL runner with a mike on his hand, a musical text with speakers on both sides, in stage spotlight and with guitar frets across, musical notes, treble and bass clefs AND headphones wrapped around?? Why make a contest,It seems like you have it all sorted out! This looks like a recipe from a cook book.

    "Desired Style: Be creative! We think of something Web2.0 alike, sleek and smart"
    How can we be creative if you are imposing all this busy stuff? You should let designers suggest ideas, don't make a list like if this is somekind of grocery store.

    We don't WANT all these ideas that came to mind. Its no recipe, these are just sample "ingredients" not at all necessary!

    So please feel free to try something completely different from the afforementioned example ideas!

    hi everybody,

    thanks for all the great entries so far! as we seem to get too much entries with focus on our ideas of a music emphasis let me concretize some things we like you to create:

    we are looking for a web2.0ish logo (e.g. wazap.com or skype.com) that MAY include one or two of various musical/songcontest/karaoke items/aspects listed below:

    - Preferably (a hint of) a microphone
    - maybe small runner(s) similar to e.g. the AOL-runners

    also a possbility, but DON'T let these thoughts of logo-elements narrow your imagination:
    - Loudspeakers on either side of the text
    - Text a top of music notes
    - Text written as a sound wave
    - Text in stage spotlight
    - Treble and bass clefs
    - Headphones wrapped around text/logo

    as it was not totally clear, please pay attention to the following: the emphasis of TalentRun is "singing and competition" and NOT "listening to music", so please no more headphones! ;)

    considering all the great entries i would like you to concentrate on following ideas:

    - an included (hint of a) micro as an icon and no other musical elements like clef etc.
    - preferaby Talent & Run colorly separated
    - maybe a little runner (with a mic?)

    dear competitors,

    while designing your ideas please also pay attention to the fact, that the logo should also be clearly visible/recognizable in lower sizes (e.g. the sitepoint-preview size of 120x90 pixels).

    as you can see we made our final decision, that was actually very very close and not at all easy!
    as i told you there was still a very good chance to grab our attention after our published shortlist. ;)
