Video assets in players are streamed from VOR's servers. Use sample clips that are seed in the Trial Account or use your own Flash FLV files. Read the Discussion below or copy & paste this: http://player.virtualonramp.com/work/Play.html?account=vor_site&player=1180633411823779891

So, is the pot prize $3000, or $1000? Either way, I'm in.
Another question: Were you expecting a fully functional site WITH a Flash animation? Or is this all optional?- User

Our goal is to expose a wonderful new method for integrating video to the web along with providing a very nice management tool ----of which there is nothing like it. We're new and if you think that I want to damage a customer relationship by not ponying up the cash --- you're mistaken. Here's my personal contact information if you need further clarification or have questions to gain additional confidence in the process. Either way we're going to publish every contest submittal if the the participant would like additional exposure. It's our goal to create a win-win scenario ----if you look at Virtual Onramp you'll see that is an opportunity for you to really shine with your clients and gain additional revenue.

For Flash sites typically you'll use a pop up --- Virtual Onramp populated players are deployed via a URL. In that context the player itself is Flash. Any player configured in Virtual Onramp can be deployed with these methods:
HTML Embedded: using the provided IFRAME code snippet
HTML hypelink: using the provided HREF code snippet
emailed link: using the provide URLHere is the way some companies are using Virtual Onramp deployment:

Ideally, we're looking for the best user experience that engages the site user having video at the center of the experience and leveraging the opportunity for interactivity with video clip hyperlinks and html text in the text box(s).

Valor---you ask a good questions, to fully understand the true difference and power is to use a free trial account. The account is fully functional and has seed FLV files and configured players that you can experiment with and deploy them. If you want---upload your own FLV files and populate players that you create. The entire
process of upload to deployment is a matter of minutes.1) create a web layout of your desire and integrate VOR players.
2) What's new is the entire account management system to enable you to populate unlimited number of players.
a. VOR players are not just single segment, with a few clicks of the mouse you can configure to your web deployment specifications with out programming.
b. Once you deploy the player(s) --- you can modify the assets or the layout of the player on the fly from your VOR account.- User

Valor---no credit card information is required for a free trial.
http://www.virtualonramp.com/CreateAccount.htmlWhen you start to develop your web layout you'll be astounded at the ease and power of using assets and players simultaneously. A VOR player "is not" your typical WMV/Quick Time players or how you integrate them.
I don't want a sales job here...it's just so different that to help the contest be the best it can be, participants have to understand that it's disruptive technology.

a good question----no you go in the Players tab and create players and populate them with assets. Each player can then be configured and deployed independent of one another....hope this helps
id like to ask about your last feedback, do i create a multiple player like this one

Valor -- to upload an FLV file, Click on the Asset Tab, in the Asset Pane right click to create a new folder and or Video Clip.
Click on the Video Clip and in the right hand pane you click on the "Video" field and you'll be presented with a dialogue box to upload your flash FLV file.- User

OK so it has to be flash video. Wait let me ask a friend of mine. I'm actually planning to use this on my site. Its something very unique and useful. I like the interface and the abality to add and change without doing th whole flash. I understand the power now. Very useful tool indeed.

Valor --- thanks! See a recent post describing the power of creating an populating multiple players. Each of the players can be deployed simultaneously. What's more is that assets can be used simultaneously also. So you can create a player for an email campaign and by using the hyperlinks associated with the video clip(s) you can redirect the recipient back to your / other website URL.

Hi, sorry but I'm a little confused.
So we are supposed to make a website for the purpose of showing the video player in action?
and in doing that we can pick out any theme for a website and just make it look good?
also, is the interface of the player editable in a way in which we can design the player? (buttons and looks of the actual player)
thanks in advance.- User

Ideally, you would craft a multiple page site with embedded players, hyperlinks that pop up a player from a player....etc... you decide the theme and content.
also --- when you create a trial account and login, navigate to the Preview Publish tab in the account manager. Click on a " player " not a "player set" and then look below at the Player Config tab...this is where you layout your player, confined to our settings.
Watch the quick start video link in the menu bar or the toolbox videos....

Rolf, great imagination -- here are some suggestions....1)In the Player Config tab of the Preview Tab, adjust the size of the player and Clip panel---experiment with it until you have no scroll bars---you have complete control on sizing. 2) add text and hyperlinks in the text and links of each asset in the Asset Tab. Have the links jump to another webpage with another player or a popup player from one of the hyperlinks.... an example of this is http://www.virtualonramp.com/encoding.html...the third link the encoding intro player....

Really awesome system. I will try to get my website up and runing today i just saw this contest and am very intrigued. Due to the short time can we make our website compatible mainly with firefox. The problem is I like to use png in my creations and this issue has been fixed in new versions of IE but not in the older versions. I will implement a pngfix javascript to take care of this problem but not sure how much it will work. Thanks again for a great contest.

sk8deamon, 1) Our system/players are compatible with Mozilla/Firefox, IE and Safari.
2) You can submit coded or uncoded please choose one.
3) Thanks for your comments on our system...it is really powerful and saves designers so much time and aggravation...in addition to helping their clients get massive video into their digital strategy fast.- User

Quick question, looking at ..deamon's entry, does the virtual player allow users to choose the placement of the clips (meaning above, below, left, right etc) and also is it intergrated to work with other plugins. Meaning lets say we host a .flv on your site and then use a different player. Just curious because I am having a little trouble navigating as well as the fact that he's using a divx player so...

Valor---
1) Clips are located in the clip docking station currently located to the right of the Video Display.
2) Player content, clips, hyperlinks, logos and text are accessed via the URL code snippets available for a specific player. His entry is a still image non-functional mockup.
