I went with a simple, but bold design, to give more impact. It's also got that clean look to keep from getting too busy. I threw in an ID card to tie in with the name and chose the first set of colors to blend with greens and blues. Used a simple catch-phrase as a tagline, but can be changed if need be. Hope this is in the right direction.

Hi asugraphics - Thanks for your submissions and sorry for the delay in feedback. Had to talk over your designs with some people on my side. We think these two are really creative designs and I apologize, but even through several reviews over here, we're just unable to put a finger on what it is about them that doesn't click for us. One person here suggested that the double-stroked text makes them feel collegiate, so perhaps you could try a similar idea without the double stroke.
I like the look of the tagline as it fits very nicely there underneath the tilted ID, though unfortunately the tagline itself doesn't really work.
Thanks again - we like your style, and I hope to see another attempt from you!

Removed the double-stroke and just made the text a little thicker for a better impact. Hope this fixed the previous issue.
