Brief Summary

Simple Industrial Logo for an International manufacturing company. Logo could include initials PVT or PvT and then open to another version with company name beneath it but really want the focus to be when see logo want to think "vibration instrumentation" for rotating machinery as that is what we do!

  1. would i be able to use the logo if chosen in my portfolio? the description says we give up the copyright to it sometimes this means the contest holder does not let us use our design in our portfolio's please let me know when you can.

  2. Yes, you may use the logo in your portfolio. Although the winner will transfer all copyrights in the winning design, the winner will have permission to use it in his/her portfolio.

  4. Hello Everyone!

    To help you out with the vibration end of our industry... you could try googling/yahooing/msn searing "cascade plots, waterfall plots, bode plots, and orbit plots" as they are all used in vibration analysis of rotating machinery. The orbit is used widely already in logos so we would want to stay away from that image.

  5. when i mentioned previously about adding an icon it was intended to be the gears, used differently from ennoids design but used nonetheless i would like to submit the idea and if you feel it is stepping on his toes i will remove it?

  6. Hi Everyone:

    When using gears or other rotating machinery...I like the idea, but my only concern/comment is that we do not manufacture those items and that the vibration instrumentation we do manufacture monitors all sorts of rotating machinery.... so we would not want to discriminate in our logo with just having gears or turbines or fans etc. So let's focus on the "vibration" end as the focus is when you see the logo one should think "a vibration company" or at least industrial.... :)

    Also, we use our logo EVERYWHERE--- catalogs, magazine ads, website, trade show displays, banners, on our hardware, our licensed software, shirts, pens, etc. etc. Please keep this in mind as you are being creative!

  7. Everyone,

    Spectrum plots are also widely used for vibration analysis if this is helpful (I forgot to mention this in my previous message). So again, the focus is for our logo to be vibration related and to stand with or without our company name.

    Just wanted to say THANK YOU first and foremost... this has really turned into an unbelievable contest!

    I apologize for changing the "end time" of the contest, but in all honesty, it is because the decision makers of the new logo have not come to a final decision! There are many GREAT entries here that match up for what we are looking for... so we just need a bit more time to chose.

    There are plenty other amazing designers here also but that just do not what match up for our logo needs. Nonetheless, this has been fun and will remain fun until the winner is chosen!
