Hey guys, I'm going to have to withdraw this contest. I really wanted to find something quickly and to the standard I was expecting, but I haven't. I am going to take this to a local design company instead because I really need to press on with my promotion etc. Thanks to all participants!

I found something with the quality i'm after, not necessarily a copy of it or anything, but just trying to help determine the style I quite like :

The logos so far aren't really what I am after, I want an icon I can brand - something memorable that will push me forward with my company image and branding. A lot of the entries so far I don't feel are an improvement on my current simple logo.

I want something that encapsulates modern and trendy in an icon. I wish I could be more help, but i'm not sure what I want at all! I would like to see something other than icons with the company initials, so please stay away from that from this point forward as i'm going to try and go in another direction!

I am eliminating the ones that I don't think people should spend time trying to refine.

I am currently in two minds whether to have the company initials in the logo or not - seems to be a popular choice in the submissions, but it's not really something I would have as first choice. I can't decide whether I like that or not yet, so there may be conflicting feedback regarding it.

I am considering making the contest guaranteed, but I will first need some quality submissions to make it worth my while, as I wouldn't select any of the current logos in their present state.

I am going to be using this guide for the star ratings :

1 star - Try taking the design in a different direction, not really what I am looking for.
2 star - Good potential but design needs to follow the brief more.
3 star - A great start, needs some tweaking and improvement though.
4 star - A very good design and on the verge of being a finalist.
5 star - Excellent work! A Finalist for sure!

Some of the star ratings may also change as I collect feedback from colleagues and other sources, so please don't be disheartened if you entry loses a star.

Please let me know if I can expect an entry from you, when you know whether you are going to enter or not.

Also, as this is my first time running a contest I am just trying to figure everything out so hopefully I will be able to carry it out competantly!
