- Brief Summary
-
We are an earmuff company.
We are looking for an earmuff design that wraps around the back of the head such as 180's. But instead of the twist it will have flexible joints like Silhouette glasses. - Actions

NICE... :S ...I'm sorry for all of u guys, but i think 99designs is good also to practice and improve your skills...
normally a firm select one or few designers to design something, instead here, even if just one person win the contest, many designers have the possibility to work on a "real" commission...so I think it's a good opportunity for everybody to gain experience ;)
Anyway, good luck everybody! -

I will pass. $2,000 for a design of a product that might make millions. Plus copy right infringement.

ohh and it may be my years of retail experience talking but i honestly think a open package is a mistake, while very showy and appealing it can cause much unneeded product damage and increased chance of shrink/theft i would choose to do what axe did after a similar situation they shrinkwrapped there products that used to be just attached to further discourage theft, with most if the open package designs this would work without ruining their eye appeal. just a suggestion but i think you should take a look into it

creative ideas has a perfect point. some of the designs are really nice but just not possible to produce or manufacture but most of the ones created are possible they just need to be slightly modified.
you designers are really great and if 99designs decides to advertise the limitless capabilities of its designers all they have to do is show people this contest.
Keep it up guys only a few days left. -

I do that too...
But these are concepts that should probably be further developed before production! There should be at least a couple of prototypes! But only the winner of the contest would work further, as this requires funding, etc.
I think most of the concepts presented here would be possible after this further developing stages, so I don`t see ergonomy as being a problem to any of them at this point.
