This is a quick hitter contest. It is for a company that conducts Mixed Media Art Retreats, so you can have fun with this one. The client has provided a good direction so that you won't be throwing darts trying to hit the design mark... Good luck to all!!!

I'm going to hearken back to an earlier comment and agree that she's a flake.
"self-trained" artist...I think they call those people craft-time volunteers...

Everyone, I am so sorry to have to announce that my client did not pick anyone here, or anywhere else for that matter. I spoke with her this morning and she told me, and I quote, "I am sorry but there is just not anything that I totally fell in love with". I am totally frustrated and wish that I had never suggested we hold this contest as you can see from my track record that I have awarded every contest that I have ever held.
I hope that this does not reflect poorly on me, there are several of you that did extra work on the side when I thought that she was leaning your way, a very special thanks goes out to Marsha errr, pxl_ns for design #199 I thought I had her. The butterfly is perfect IMO, but alas apparently MO does not matter to the client. Arrrrgggghhhhh.
Please don't hate me folks I really did try to make this thing work. Best of luck to all of you in your future endeavors.
Kindest regards,
Johnny Rotten

The client is not a flake actually quite the contrary, she is a very talented jewelry artist, however when it comes to electronic media or painted art she has a difficult time with translating her vision into words, she kind of shoots from the hip in her art work and ends up with one of a kind type of works so you can see with that as a basis of her creative composition it makes it tough to think ahead.
I really appreciate all of the amazing work, attention to detail and many revisions that many of you did. You are all entitled to your opinions, and I think that we can all agree, that if we decided that we did not want to work for clients that are a bit flaky, then we would all be in the poor house. Just saying.
Thanks again for all of the effort I hope to announce a decision very soon.
Look for another Johnny Rotten contest soon!

She's an artist herself so some flakiness is allowed. It's like going shopping when you're not sure of what you want but you know it when you see it.

CHANGE OF DIRECTION:
OK, as clients do, now that you all have given her what she thought that she wanted she is now talking about browns and turquoise's as the color scheme. Here is what I note as important things to her:
Hearts or Heart
Butterflys or Butterfly
Dog Tags (with ball chain)
Military Boot (feminine, lace, hearts on it etc)Please don't work all of these elements into your designs at the same time but use them as you see appropriate. This is what is hopefully going to catch her eye.
I really want to reward this to one of you so give it your best, so I can convince her that your work is deserving.
Many thanks and again sorry for all the BS, it is not normally how my contests go, but we have all had a difficult client in the past I am sure.
Regards
Johnny Rotten
