Regarding design #1
Ethics, thanks you for the submission. I think you got the intial point of what im attempting to do. It looks pretty clean but i however have a few concern points. 1) this has too much of a templated feel. Looks very much like work you've submitted to other contests. 2) would like a little more use of colors (subdued) to make the page pop 3) It still feels a bit too similar still to the test site i gave you.

better... can you put in there a placeholder logo and banner ad.. i'd like see how that looks... also without that black & blue bar? the red is a bit too strong, can you tone the colors down a tad? additionally any other ideas for the bulets used in the list.?

getting better. a few more adjustments and we'll keep it in as a finalist.
1) Remove the red tab and make the green bar the navigation with (Home Prepaid phone plans Online diet plans Online fitness plans)
2) Highlight Prepaid phone plans as the selected category
3) a different font & color (perhaps a grey?) for the internal text
4) make the bullets 3-dimensional
5) make the background as in the site i indicated (http://shop.avanquest.com/usa/) shading from blue to lightblue/white

I'm not sure about point # 3 & 4.
Which font do you want me to change? and where?
If your talking about any of the body text I'd advise to leave it arial for coding/display purposes.
As for the 3d arrows, would you happen to have an example of what you have in mind?

example bullets 3d as in the sample site above. Body text is what i was refering to, leave the font arial as you suggested but make the color a little softer on the eyes... maybe a grey??

can you compose what a landing page would look like as well as a page with a plan selected? By landing page I mean the hone button which would not reflect any one category.

landing page i'm thinking would look similar to http://shop.avanquest.com/usa/ where a large banner would profess the value of the reviews and why reading them makes sense prior to buying something... then smaller square or rectangular banners below with each category detailed a bit further.

this one you misinterpreted.... this is the "home" page. there should not be a list of the prepaids here because it has not been selected yet. consider this a completely blank page to be filled only with a large banner professing the value of the reviews in general and why reading them makes sense prior to buying something... then smaller square or rectangular banners below with each category detailed a bit further. nothing else on that page...
