Brief Summary

We need a logo for the web 2.0 e-commerce store we are developing. The e-commerce store will specialize in the sale of costume lingerie and accessories. We need a chic, modern, attractive logo which will be memorable to our clientelle of women from age 18-40. The ideal logo would strike a good balance between being sexy, sophisticated, & feminine while not being overly trashy / risque.

Logo must look good on a BLACK background. And remember sometimes less is more. The final logo will be used in a website and rescaled to approximately 200 x 75 pixels, so if you insert logos in there please make sure they are CLEAR and visible at that resolution.

PLEASE remember that this is for a LINGERIE COSTUME store, and NOT A STRIP CLUB or CONVENTIONAL LINGERIE STORE.

ALSO, an image of a woman incorporated in the logo is NOT A NECESSITY. If you do choose to use a woman, she should definitely be wearing COSTUME LINGERIE, not nude or topless.

PLEASE AVOID cliche images such as hearts, playboy playmates, etc.

I'm just getting started at these contests and I don't have a portfolio, but if you do you might check out some other freelance places like guru.com, odesk, crowdspring?

Jessi0031, Trust me I hear you. I just got laid off my 10 year streak at an ad agency as an designer.
Baby coming soon and no job. I feel your pain.

I agree too! It isn't cool. People don't want to pay for design. I just had a company stiff me for a meager $30 after I won one of these contests and did some side work for them (this is AFTER they used this work in another contest). Seriously, 99designs is ruining our industry. I just graduated and I cant find a job anywhere. Everywhere I call or go to says they have no work. So this is all there is, but then you have people ripping off your concepts and calling it fair play...so I guess we are all screwed. You can HOPE that your work is for something...that maybe the hours you pour into working in what is basically a "team" design effort with no guaranteed pay will pay off. Meanwhile, student loans are due...bills are due...and you're forced to get a job at Wendy's. It is really not cool.

Man that is so not cool and this is why us designers are hurting for money. Everyone thinks that anyone could
be a designer. The econ is so bad as it is why waste our time.
