Brief Summary

I need someone to design a front page, a gallery page, and a bio/contact page using wordpress. I also need this person to be willing to guide me step by step in implementing these themes since I'm techno-illiterate and barely know how to use my Wordpress dashbar etc.

ETA: This design doesn't HAVE to be WP; it just needs to be able to be managed entirely by me, where I can easily add/delete photos on my own. Not sure if this is easily possible, but you tell me... better yet, show me!

I have a couple of questions before entering this contest.

First question is to clarify if you want 3 pages, if so then $250.00 might be a little low. "Prizes in the Web Design category are for the design of a one page site, this excludes coding such as HTML and CSS." Im not saying you must raise the price but for future reference.

Next question I have is do you want the winner to code it into wordpress for you?

Depending on the answers I will find out if I will enter this contest or not.

    Thank you for your time.

I'm so very sorry everyone, something came up at home that makes it impossible for me to follow through with this contest prize. I feel badly doing it this late but it couldn't be helped; I apologize to those who've put work into this... I know I won't have any kind of good credibility on this site anymore, but this can't be helped.

    Thanks so much.

Richard, I think so. I've used some sort of ftp program before... as long as it didn't require any formatting on my part... just a basic file upload.

About to submit an entry, but would it be suitable for yourself to use a basic uploader where you can choose which category to upload the image into and then a page where you are able to delete an image?

You know, I don't know how feasible this is for you all and I'm sorry to announce this so late in the game (should I extend?), but to be honest, it doesn't HAVE to be WP or pixelpost at all. I just need something that I can manage and add/delete photos to on my own... thought I needed something like WP to accomplish this; maybe I'm wrong?!

younit: I've considered pixelpost too, but I'm not familiar with it enough to feel comfortable (though I admit to just barely learning WP)... I tried to work my way around it half-heartedly for a while, but it didn't seem to help much.

If you want to have a go with pixelpost, (and then walk me thru every aspect of implementation) I'm all for it.

Dave, I do have my own hosting account (though don't know much about how to use it... I know everyone, I'm rather inept, so sorry) and server space... it's my understanding that I'd have to use that to host an upgraded WP theme, which is fine.

    Thanks everyone for considering!

Hi Ellie: I like your photography and look forward to submitting a design for your review. It will be coming your way some time on Monday, as I do not have time before then. If it wins the contest, I would be happy to convert it to a WordPress theme, install it for you and walk you through the posting functionality. This is assuming that you will have your own hosting account somewhere vs "pointing" your domain at wordpress.com .

Yeah everything is possible with wordpress, but pixelpost suits CH needs, and requires less work than developing a theme for wordpress.

All is posible with Wordpress (I know, I work with WP), but $250 is not enough at least here
