Brief Summary

Dubbed a “Magazine 2.0 Experiment”, Australian business title Anthill Magazine, http://www.anthillonline.com, is attempting a world first: A print edition filled exclusively with reader-generated content. This is your chance to add a national print magazine cover to your portfolio.

Brand Name
Australian Anthill Magazine
Description

Anthill Magazine is Australia’s leading magazine for entrepreneurs and innovative fast growth companies.

Please refer to this post for a detailed outline of what we are looking for and some early suggestions from Anthill readers.

Other resources:

Download the template, available in Adobe InDesign file format (.indd) InDesign (3.3MB) file format.

Wants

We are seeking an A4 (with 5mm bleed) InDesign file using the template provided. Keep in mind that some core components of the cover design always remain, such as the masthead, issue number/date, several cover tags (headlines), etc.

We also intend to include “Cover Design Powered By 99designs.com” and the winning designer’s name somewhere visible (but not too overpowering) on the front cover.

Don't Wants

Anthill Magazine covers are different to the typical business magazine genre. They are generally creative yet tangible, smart yet simple, with a clear, bold, clever hook. As with any successful artistic endeavour, avoid cliché, sentimentality and gratuitousness. Please refer to our past cover archive and the discussion on our Magazine 2.0 blog post (links above) for further direction.
