Brief Summary

Modern and contemporary art gallery is about to reopen. The Gallery is in need of a new website and I’m in charge of it. Work involves complete design of homepage and a content page.
HTML CODING IS NOT an obligation. Work is expected to be delivered as PSD. But, there is a $200 bonus (total $1100) if the work is delivered as transitional xhtml template.

Content page is 80% similar to homepage, only changes the content area.

    Hi,
    contest has ended, I thank every participant for all the submissions.

    I will pick up a winner, because there are some designs that fit our requirements.

    We haven't decided yet which design will be declared winner.

    What I will do within the next 5 days (or less):

    - Phase 1: First elimination round. I will start eliminating designs. The goal is to keep 5 to 7 entires.

    - Phase 2: Second elimination round: the goal is to keep 2 entries.

    - Phase 3: pickup the winner.

    To all contestants: keep an eye on your private message box: I might ask questions and refinements. Communication will certainly be a factor in final decision.

    Keep watching this thread as I will announce completion of each phase.

    You can change everything, including the color but keep the elements and width.

    I have no preference though: winner could be someone that chose the total freedom route, or someone that chose to stick closely to the instructions.

    UPDATE: I would like to give MORE FREEDOM to designers. You can choose to follow the instructions below very closely as you already did..... or go in a totally other direction with totally different logo, color, structure....... (If you plan to go to "Total freedom" route, still, the design must be 950 pix width and different elements from the draft must be present).
