Brief Summary

This contest is for a logo for a browser-based casual strategy game called Aetris.com, currently in development. It is a science-fiction game set in a distant galaxy. (Think: Star Wars). In fact, as the story goes, the "aetris" is what we're calling the center of the galaxy that spins off gases that will cool and become solar systems filled with planets. Players will attempt to control this "aetris" by partnering with some players while fighting against others. In regards to a logo, I'm looking for a simple idea that conveys a strong brand.

The logo will be used primarily on a website, but might be used on other items eventually, like a (black or dark colored) t-shirt or coffee mug (assuming we have some success.) :)

I don't have a strong preference for a "typeface only logo" or for some image along with the text. I'm open to either idea.

If it helps, you can see some of the artwork from previous contests that I've held here on 99designs ... this should give you an idea of *some* of the art on a given page. The logo DOES NOT HAVE TO NECESSARILY FOLLOW THIS STYLE ... but I thought, as artists, you might want to see as much as possible to help you get some cool ideas flowing.

While we don't have a website design ... yet ... (that will be the next contest) if we did, I would love for the navigation menus it to look something like this ... so the logo shouldn't CLASH with a more glossy design ... although, again, the next contest will help us determine what the overall aesthetic should be:
