- Brief Summary
-
This contest is for a logo for a browser-based casual strategy game called Aetris.com, currently in development. It is a science-fiction game set in a distant galaxy. (Think: Star Wars). In fact, as the story goes, the "aetris" is what we're calling the center of the galaxy that spins off gases that will cool and become solar systems filled with planets. Players will attempt to control this "aetris" by partnering with some players while fighting against others. In regards to a logo, I'm looking for a simple idea that conveys a strong brand.

"take your heart frozen"? Sorry, I don't believe that translated well.

Ok, my apologizes for leaving everyone in limbo. After yesterday's events at our office I decided I needed some time to tap the breaks a bit. But I'm going to go ahead and award the winner. First off, there were probably 4 or 5 designs that would have worked beautifully for this purpose. I had my heart set on one particular design but everyone else I spoke to kept coming back to #26 by silentWolf. Congratulations! And thank you everyone who participated for a good contest.

To followup on my post almost 16 hours ago, my intent was to end the contest. However, we had a vote here in the office and my selection was over-ruled by a margin of 3-1 in favor of a different entry. So, I need another hour or two to get this sorted out, but my intent is to end the contest soon. If you are new to the contest, I would definitely consider your entry, but be advised that I'm in the process of selecting the winner NOW. Thank you!

From the contest brief: "At this time, however, I can only pay via PayPal ... sorry, no Western Union ... I'll be applying for an online account soon, but it takes two weeks to get it."

Ok all, I'm strongly considering ending the contest early and awarding a winner. I see something I like and I don't know that I want to continue to see any more variations. I consulted the FAQ on 99Designs and this is permissable. From: http://99designs.com/help/faq ... "can i end a contest early? You can. Ideally, you'll award your contest prizes when you end the contest — whether you're planning to use the designs or not. Backing out of a contest tends to be bad for contest holders' reputations, and might make it hard for you to attract designers to your future contests." I take this to mean that as long as I award a winner there should be no problems. So ... my intent is to end this contest at 9am CST (which is approximately 15 hours, 19 minutes from this posting ... I'm -6 GMT) and award a winner. If you think you have a design that will change my mind, please feel free to post it and I promise to give it a fair shake. Thank you.
