    bookchig - It is not necessary for you to contact the original logo designer to ask for "permission." Nor is it "unfair" to the original designer. Once you have paid for the logo YOU own it and have the right to do WHATEVER you want - holding other contests and posting it for other designers to use for websites, postcards, and yes, EVEN BUSINESS CARDS AND STATIONARY, is just fine. ;-)
