Brief Overview

GlobeSherpa is a software company that specializes in location based, rich media applications for mobile devices. Our goal is to help you explore your world. Be4News is an application for the Apple iPhone and other mobile platforms that alerts you to breaking news near you so that you can be first on the scene to report the story. People in the right place at the right time continue to capture important news with their camera phones and smart phones - long before classic news media arrive on the scene. From extraordinary events like the London bombings in 2005 to everyday traffic jams during the daily commute, crowdsourced news is supplementing and in some cases replacing classic new media. Our application lets users mix photos, video, audio, and text in one simple program to capture, geo-tag, and upload news to the Be4News website, social media outlets like Twitter and Facebook, and traditional news outlets like TV and newspaper websites. Unlike other news applications that focus exclusively on delivering headlines to your phone, Be4News lets you literally produce and share unique stories as they occur. Our technology turns Be4News users into on-demand news stringers, giving media outlets in local communities the ability to text news alerts to users in the vicinity of breaking events as they unfold. Users can then be first on the scene to document and tell the story.

Our target audience includes reporters, news professionals, and all around news junkies who wake up each morning and the first thing they do is check the headlines. We also want to target people who are interested in what is happening in their immediate vicinity or locality. Be4News targets people who want to report the news, but also delivers a valuable service to people who only want to consume the news.

Requirements

Must look good at 57x57px, and at 150x150px. We need original vector artwork supplied at 500x500. Submit in small 57px size for us to preview. Design first for the 57px size.
