FYI ... I just uploaded a pdf which lists the different color and monochrome icon sizes that should be part of the final deliverable. Per Apple, these should be png files. The pdf is now part of the design brief.

Of the designs so far, I am gravitating towards those that use a thought cloud which are rendered in a simple and symbolic way. Since the ideal icon would also convey dynamic or fast, I wonder what a symbolic representation of a cloud (thought cloud) in wind would look like. Maybe with the an exclamation mark in the middle.

Generally I don't like the explicit use of a lightbulb. It is very overdone. Though one design hints at a bulb in a clever way #25.

The purpose of the app is to quickly capture important ideas before you forget them. At a glance, we want the potential user to think:
    - Important ideas/thoughts
    - Fast/quick to do (most of the designs so far have not conveyed this, and are instead more static)

My preferred look is simple shapes and design that subtle hints.

Some of the designs with thought bubbles I felt had potential. Maybe something like that, with a use of exclamation mark to indicate importance.

I have provided a graphic of my company logo. Please note that I plan to eventually offer multiple iPhone/iPad apps. Therefore the icon should not be of my company logo. My hope is that the designed icon is complimentary the logo's design and colors.
    Thanks,
    Rick
