Design brief

Brief Overview

We are a small startup company seeking to build our first application for Iphone. Our staff have 20 years of retail experience, Over the last 4 months we have undertaken a software project that will aid shoppers during they're shopping to plan and record they're shopping experience while in a retail store. In the course of developing this application the team has conducted interviews with woman, who have contributed greatly to the evolution of this project. The foundation of the entire product has been built with woman in mind.

This is a new type of shopping application that will soon be launched onto the IPhone Platform. This App provides a user with a new work flow on how to go shopping. The primary target market are woman this project from ground up has been designed with woman in mind. The work flow has been determined by several woman who have greatly influenced the project over the year. The actual details of the work flow are under NDA and cannot be provided in a public forum as this.

We can provide what we require to be developed in relation to the work flow without the need to disclose the actual work flow.

Requirements

The purpose of these icons is to identify the type of shop.
The icons are to have a transparent background with no border around icons.

The use of these icons are not for tool bars , tab bars or navigation bars with in the Iphone App they will be used in a tableview , in one place is a header view this view will sit over the group tableview background, the other use is in a tableview cell.
Please keep design simple in message not to complex.
Please allow for scaling of icons to a smaller size.

Butcher is meat cuts and delicatessen is a prepared food s verse fresh meet cuts

Each graphic must provide a clear indication by sight what it is to represent to the viewer of the graphic.

For example the supermarket is a shop where you can buy many types of items and gives a clear impression of what action you will do in that type of retail channel. Thus the graphic must clearly indicate at sight that the image they are looking at will be a supermarket in concept and that by selection of that graphic indicates that we are going to shop in a supermarket. Thus the graphic conveys an action to be done in relationship to the shopping task.

Each type of graphic must be clearly understood by non english speaking viewers

Must not offend or be of any known retailer trade mark or logo or any logo or trade mark ofd any company on internet or not on the net.

Must be creative but convey a richness and quality.
