Dootsa Power Press picked a winning design in their book cover contest
For just $499, they received 89 designs from 14 designers.
This is the third professional book cover design process I've been through, and by far the most fun. The web site worked great and the whole process was smooth. Most importantly, I ended up with a great design that I'm happy with. — Matineecaddy

Thank you to all the designers who participated. This is a close call. All the finalists came up with very good designs. Hope to ponder the decision, consult with advisors, and select a winner on Monday.
The contest holder has guaranteed to award the prize!
As I look at today's entries, the ones without the author photo look better to me in general. Sorry about that! I know I suggested that yesterday. I just don't think the author photo adds anything. Instead it detracts from the overall design look and feel.
My ISBN number is:
ISBN 0-9715890-5-4
Wow. Thanks everyone. This is getting really hard. They are all so good!
There is a typo in the answer to a question about the dimensions of a trade papaerback earlier. It should say 5.5" wide x 8.5" high.
The author's name is Hal Reichardt. All contest entries should show that at this point. Sorry I didn't realize this earlier!
Added a new photo to the Design Brief. If your design includes a cutout for an author photo on the back cover, you should be able to cut out a decent head shot from this photo. My friends seem to like the smile and the beret. :)
All contest entries should include the URL to my writing web site on the back cover: http://www.whimsystreet.us. Thanks!
The book dimensions are standard trade paperback size, which is 5.5" wide x 8" high. The spine width is 0.5" based on a page count of 240.
Dear CH
Could you please provide the book dimensions (width + height)?
Thank you!
