Some more general feedback:
1) Now that I've seen a few examples, we're not too keen on the "list of site features" approach
2) Make sure the image you choose is obviously a BASE jumper, that is, somebody who jumper from a fixed object. Showing a person in the air, with no fixed object reference means it can also be a skydiver who jumper from a plane.
3) A lot of people are using "Sky's the Limit" slogan. Again, that is much more a theme with skydivers, who actually have a lot of sky to work with. BASE jumpers are near the ground from the moment they leave the exitpoint.
4) An invitation to "join" the BASE community is (as strange as it may sound) not really something you can just do. You have to earn your place into the community. You can however "visit" the community...

General feedback - there has been some great submissions, thank you! We're not likely to accept a banner that simply looks like a photo with some text written on it... we can actually create those ourselves. ;-) We'd love to see some creative layouts, concepts and themes and a nice professional finish.

If you loose the logo as I suggest above then be creative with the URL or the words 'BASE Jumper'.

Hey all - thanks for the submissions so far. After having seen a few concepts with the basejumper.com logo I'd actually recommend you not use it. We're likely to replace it in the future and it doesn't translate well onto a banner. keep them coming!
